About

Hi, I'm Keri.

I'm a ceramicist based in Amsterdam, working from a small community studio filled with plants, sunlight, my cockapoo, Bobbie, and far too many half-finished pots.

I started my ceramics journey in 2008 during high school in Connecticut. I always enjoyed using my hands to make creative objects out of nothing. Many years later, after moving to Amsterdam, I rediscovered my love for pottery.

What started as a week long refresher course, quickly took over. Now, every piece I make is thrown, trimmed, glazed, and fired by me, in small batches. Available for purchase through my website or select stores.

My work is functional, yet unique. I often incorporate wavy rims or carvings to ensure it feels handmade. I explore warm, earthy and coastal color pallets, a nod to my Connecticut roots.

Officially, my studio is Keri Byrne Ceramics. On Instagram, you'll still find me as @keritakesthewheel, the name that stuck when I first started throwing.

It's great to have you here!
